The Badge Buddy Story

Hi, I'm Jacki.
I'm a troop leader, too.
When I became a troop leader, I quickly discovered that knowing what my girls needed to do to earn a badge and figuring out how to turn those requirements into a meeting they'd actually enjoy were two very different things.
I wanted meetings with games. Challenges. Music. Crafts that had a purpose. Activities that got the girls talking to each other instead of listening to me talk at them.
I wanted them to walk out saying, "That was fun!"
And, preferably, I wanted to walk out without feeling like I'd just run a three-ring circus.
So I started creating my own meeting plans.
Badge Buddy started because I needed it. And my girls needed it, too.
At first, I was simply planning for my own troop. I'd take the badge requirements and start asking questions.
Could this step become a game? Could the girls try this instead of just talking about it? Could we add a theme they'd love? Could they work together, make choices or take the lead?
And—equally important—can we realistically do all of this during an actual troop meeting?
Those questions became the foundation for Badge Buddy.
Today, I turn those ideas into ready-to-use meeting plans and activities for other troop leaders who want to create memorable meetings without spending hours planning them.
What makes a Badge Buddy meeting different?
Planned for real meetings.
Not just activity ideas a beginning-to-end plan you can actually use.
Fun comes first.
Games, challenges, themes and hands-on activities turn badge requirements into something girls enjoy.
Made by a troop leader.
I create resources with the same practical question lask when planning for my own troop: Will this actually work?
From my troop to yours.
If Badge Buddy saves you an hour of planning...
Gives you an activity your girls can't stop talking about...
Helps you walk into a meeting feeling prepared instead of scrambling...
Then it's doing exactly what I created it to do.
I'm glad you're here.
